How far can you restore headlights?

Not a typo at all. 12000 grit. It's part of the Micro-Restore kit.

I do this all the time at work. The most serious I've ever done was actually a Grand Cherokee like that one. I went at them with 400, 600, 1500, & 3000 grit. Then used a rotary/wool pad with a medium compound then a medium foam pad and polishing compound.

Looked brand new when finished. Most lights I can fix with 1500, 3000 and some buffing.

ever tried system one, its perfect for head lights and tail lights, able to wet sand and bring back like new to perfect. other than big holes that is LOL

WOW impressive, my wifes X5 lights were getting milky (not like this one) I hit it with a PC with orange pad and some 106ff and it now looks new.
