How effective can PDR be?

When they remove the dent their tools won't damage the paint. If the crease is really deep and they don't work it out properly, they could crack the paint. The tools they use like their hammers, won't hurt the paint when they tap on it.

^ I wanna know if their tools scratch the paint in the INSIDE of the car's panel that they're repairing. Does the PDR guys tool scratch the panel on the inside?

The inside of a body panel is not painted, so this isn't an issue. The tools are designed to not damage/scratch the surface it's repairing.

well the inside of MY body panel IS painted but not with the paint thats on the OUTSIDE of the panel, the GOOD paint. Even if the inside of my trunk lid's panel isn't painted, will the PDR tech's tools scratch the inside of ANY panel to ANY car?. i'm not talking about the OUTSIDE, i'm talking about the INSIDE of car panels, painted or not.

OH ok i was HOPING that they don't scratch the paint on the inside of panels cause those scratches can get moisture on them and eventually rust. i don't wanna know that while the outside of my car is back to normal and looking lovely, the INSIDE is getting all rusted from the scratches or gauges that the PDR tech put when/while he was using his dent removing tools. I thought that the PDR tech's tool all have some kinda rubber or plastic tip on the ends of them all to keep from scratching paint either on the outside or inside of the panels. i guess i just don't know how their method works anyways. cause to me, rubbing out dents on the inside of a cars panel with a METAL object makes me feel like their scratching the inner panel that their fixing. Yeah the outside looks great but now the inside might be scratched all to hell. But if this is NOT the case, then i'm all good and dandy:clap:

Well I'm glad to report that I was lucky enough to find a PDR guy with crazy skills. The dent is gone so now I just have to do some touch up work and wetsanding.

I'll post pics when I get the chance.
