I've got a 99 Honda Accord that is navy blue pearl. A friend of mine told me about zaino. We plan on doing a complete prep (beginning with the clay bar and ending with waxing). let me know yalls opinion on how it looks on this color car.

Hi there,

If you do the prep wright , the Zaino will knock you of your feet with a stunning shine.

Whether you will like the shine , that I can't tell, some like it and some don't.(I like it).

It's all up to you

May we see pic's?

I plan on taking before and after pics. We plan on doing the project when it gets a little warmer, but there will be pics for all to see.

The key is the prep. Zaino and other SG's are very unforgiving products. If the car has imperfections in the finish or the prep is not done well, the results will dissapoint you. If it'sd not applied correctly it can be difficult and time consuming to remove.

I had trouble with both oif the above at first.

However, if the prep is done correctly and the Zaino is applied properly the shine will blow you away. I can apply a coat and remove it in less than 30 minutes. The key is using extremely small amounts and using a lubricated 100% cotton applicator (not the one sal sellls.) I use a piece of a cotton towel lubricated with Z6. I apply such a small amount that you can barely see it. By the time I apply it it's dry. Then I remove it with cooton or a a Mf towel. The results are stunning

Some people don't like the look on darker cars. I personally love it. Try it, if you don't like it change to a carnuba.

Good luck!

Here’s my wife’s Forester with Z on it. It’s a pearl ridge blue, you can’t see the crushed pearl in the pic but it looks very nice. Like everyone else mentioned prep is very important but Z is terrific!

Hey what's up. That Sub Forester looks awsome. Does anyone know where I can buy that Zaino here in Canada, ?????

I've used Zaino my my wife's truck for about 2 years and it looks great. I mostly stick to Z5, though. The color is deep wedgewood blue metallic. It is not a pearl, but looks dark blue, medium blue, black, and even purple in the direct sun. I love the color. If you are looking for the long term protection, Zaino is good. But if you don't mind waxing every month or two, I's check out S100. It's cheaper, and believe it or not, even easier to use than Zaino. Here are a couple examples of Zaino Z5

Clinton,

Used to be able to get Zaino in Canada at www.car-fanatic.com but it looks like now there is a link to Zaino.ca which doesn't work for me. Send an e-mail to Sal Zaino at wet@zainobros.com and he'll tell you how to get Z in Canada.
