How does Pakshak MF's compare to the other liked brands here?

I am really new to the group, and I emailed Pakshak the other day and he responded to me pretty fast, considering I am a newbie and all. I had asked about his discount and he gave it to me. Now I am not a big fan of giving my credit card over the internet(guess I am stil old fashioned in that sense) so he gave me his mailing address, and I have a money order on the way to him. So I think Ranney is pretty fair. Can't wait to try out towels.

Thanks

The search function seems to be "down" right now.....

Would anyone be so kind as to tell me what DFT stands for?

http://www.dftowel.com

This has also got great reviews here, although its construction is a bit unconventional compared to the MF towels sold by others. DFTowel is also a member here.

Once the search comes back up you should be able to read lots about it. Try the Product Reviews section maybe for now.

Regarding the aspect of drying a whole car ... which is better...

Pakshak or BigBlueTowel?

BigBlue is definitely more absorbent. I would rate my Pakshak towels as slightly less absorbent and slightly less plush than my Neatitems and Miracle MF towels. Does anyone else think this?

As a bonus they have no tags, do not lint, and are great quality which makes them well worth it. :xyxthumbs Not to mention the great service.

I put an order in for 20 of the pakshak towels about a week ago. I was a little apprehensive of such a big order but I needed alot of them and had heard a few good things. Now I'm totally glad I ordered them up and I can't wait to give them a go.

btw: what's the Autopia discount? I got them through a GB discount from a BMW forum I'm a member of.

Regarding the PakShak vs. BigBlue, the Big Blue towel is a waffle weave microfiber towel, so its meant more for drying and can't really be compared to the PakShak towels. PakShak has waffle weave coming soon so then you can make a comparison.

The Autopia discount that Ranney so generously gives on his 16x16 towels is $2.00 per towel plus shipping. I believe the regular price on these towels is about $4.45 each. It's a very good deal. :up

buddy and i will be ordering from pakshak soon, can't wait:up as for drying you will never beat the BIG BLUE:bow i will use the 24x24 for buffing and final wipes ect, i also use meg ultimate wipes for buffing as well:up

I just received my first order from Ranney at the Pakshak yesterday. The towels are excellent.

Ranney's customer service and order status updates are first rate too.

I highly recommend Pakshak and it is nice to support a fellow Autopia member.

I'm hooked on Microfiber towels and Ranney's are NICE!

Thanks again for the great service, product and price!:bow :bow :bow

my expierences with PakShak.

Towels: They are really nice, not only are they soft and without tags, but the price is very right. I was able to buy a pretty big pile of them without hardly dipping into my wallet (compared to what i would of at some other places).

Service: Top notch. Not only was everything fast and easy, but he also gave me some business cards so i could pass them to my customers so they can get the good towels. I won't have anyone i know using the $8 mfs from retail stores in the area that are of really horrible quality.

I also just received my first order from Ranney.

Towels are excellent in all respects. Price is great too!

It is a pleasure to deal with Ranney, towels are delivered fast and packaging is great.

I plan to put in another order!

Actually 1 question to ask ...

MF towels are used to buff of wax right? Not for drying the car ...

How do you all judge quality of a MF towel?

Hi tradertt, :)

Actually for drying purposes I would recommend a waffle weave micro fiber towel because of it's high absorbency characteristics. It's sole purpose is to dry. Unlike terry micro fiber towels which can be used to buff off wax/polish, used with a quick detail spray, dusting interior, cleaning windows, washing your car, used as a final wipe towel, and also drying. However, the drying capabilities can not come close to the waffle weave micro fiber towel.

With Aloha,

~Ranney
