How do you wash your towels?

I don't use anything special... seperate wheel from paint/interior towels and throw them into the washer. Medium spin speed on delicate mode, cold/warm, and add an extra rinse. Use either simple green or detergent to clean them :)

You can use car wash soap and lightly agitate in a bucket or handwash with woolite in the sink if they are sheepskin..

I usually *don't* clean the sheepskin ones, they don't really get dirty as they seem to shed dirt. But if I think they need it I wash them in the machine on "gentle" cycle with Woolite and do a few extra rinses.

The chenille and MF ones I wash normally (what's normal for cotton and normal for MF). These do *not* shed dirt like the sheepskin ones and I wash them every time I use them.

I use micro restore... its really good stuff Micro Restore Microfiber Cleaner

Danase has a very similar product that comes in a gallon size; it's made by Chemical Guys. I feel the towels come out softer and cleaner with (either) one of these microfiber wash products that it did with Woolite or Tide. 2 oz. per load, and vinegar in the rinse is optional with this stuff because it rinses out well. For really dirty towels soak overnight in 1/2 oz MF wash in 1 gal hot water--this even cleaned a really grungy pair of Mechanix Gloves I had!

I use hot water to wash and low heat in the dryer.

I too use Micro Restore. It is available in gallon for $25. Works very very well for me. Once every two weeks or so, I'll let any towels that have any stains sit in a bucket of hot water over night w/ Micro Restore. Then thrown them in the washing machine as usual with MR.

Dry in dryer w/ no heat and two blue dryer balls.

I wash my Shmitts the same way.
