How do you wash your MF used for carnuba removal?

Hey guy's,



I've got some fairly expensive MF towels that I use for buffing carnuba. Is a long cycle in hot water and laundry soap the correct way? Of course no dryer sheets....

cp1- I find that the dust/residue from wax cleans out quite easily, at least compared to some other things I can think of. I do a prewash then a long wash (both on "hot") and then numerous rinses.



I do better with "MF detergents" compared to regular laundry stuff, but that's just me and YMMV.



Hey, this is another chance for me to get up on my soapbox about "thin applications"! If you use the proper amount of wax/sealant there won't be, well...much of anything to buff off and not much to clean out of the towel.
 
Thank you Accumulator, I appreciate your time answering.....and I'm impressed with 32,697 posts, I didn't put that many miles on my last car LOL
 
I separate my towels into two piles and wash them separately:

1) Towels used with APC, chemicals, grease, etc (Really bad ones go straight to the trash)

2) Towels used for product removal such as polishes, waxes, sealants, etc (I use several towels when removing or buffing so there isn't a tremendous amount of product in-grained in the fibers



Process: Hot water for agitation cycle / hot water for rinse cycle(s), Tide Free or Charlie's Soap on a few occassions, vinegar during the rinse cycle
 
I use Woolite. Pre-wash with water in the utility sink and then wash in the machine.



Hang to dry- Then place into zip- lock bags.



And people think that detailing cars is easy.
