How do you store your waxes and sealants?

I know I have seen this on this forum or another not really sure, so I figured I'd ask. Now that its really getting hot over here in So.Cal I wanted to know what would be to best way to keep my waxes and sealants from falling prey to the 100 + degree heat in my garage. For now I have placed all my waxes inside my frig. Should I do the same for the sealants like BlackFire, etc?

I keep mine in the basement... usually stays around 60-68 degrees in the summer. Much cooler in the winter. Grab what I need for the mobile detailing bag, then back to the dungeon!:D
 
storage

Right now I'm using rubber made containers. I keep everything seperated as much as possible. Poilsh, wax and sealents. I keep all my pads and micro fibers in zip lock bags. I label all the bags,towels and pads according to what they are used for to avoid contamination. I write on the sides of the pads. I usually use PAC product codes or acronyms. Black sharpies work great. Everything stays in the basement until I start working then they come up and stay in the shed in the back yard. I tend to leave everything out in reach except for polish, wax, any trim and interior treatments, glass cleaners and take them out as needed. This works for now but it's a bit of a hassle. I will be getting the basement organized and make some shelving space for everything. I will leave everything in the basement until spring. I will do the same in the shed. It's a wood shed and is under a large tree so it stays cool usually no more than 78. I will move everything in there in the spring.
 
I keep the waxes in my office; the sealants stay in the garage. During the colder months, everything is stored in the house.
 
Storage Temperature (Product)

Storing products in a refrigerator or wine cooler adds to the elitist or exclusivity factor, as far as the contents are concerned it has no merit from a chemical standpoint

Car care products should not be stored at temperatures below 35 - 40oF, if they freeze they will become unstable and therefore unusable, ideal storage temperature range- 50- 75oF with an average humidity range. Most car care products have a ?useful life? of approximately 2-3 years provided they are stored as above.

Do not store at temperature extremes (below 40 ? over 80.0F +) as heat will destabilise emulsified products (wax, polymer sealants, polishes, etc) and avoid extreme temperature swings as the chemicals will become unstable. Most car care products (including Polymers) will separate and are no longer usable after being subjected to freezing temperatures

The chemical composition of waxes rarely ever change regardless of what form it is in, whether it is melted to a semi-liquid or remains as a semi-solid. Temperature has little to no effect as far as inhibiting the shelf life of wax, a cool temperatures and constant humidity will slow the evaporation of solvents from the wax, thus keeping the wax softer and easier to use over a longer period of time. Do not allow to freeze and avoid temperature swings

In a plastic container under my bed, on the wifes side....lol

Just kidding in its original box , and in a closet at the lower level (used to be called basement, but its now a home theatre:wink:).
Its cool there.

I keep my waxes & sealants in a cabinet in the laundry room. It originally had my kid's old clothes in there. I decided the space was better suited for my purpose and donated the clothes. Win win situation for me!:clap:
