Get the highest SPF sunblock that you can. As far as the eyes problem, when you sweat your fluids carry the sunblock with it. I would recommend purchasing sunblock that is made for facial use, its a less oily mixture and won't run into your eyes. Besides that it all depends on your body, some people burn easily and some don't. If you do, just be more attentative and apply sunblock more often. Cheers

Wear a hat which will keep you from sweating into your eyes. I use SPF15 sunblock but I am so tan by late spring I rarely burn anymore.

As a traffic signal tech, I work in worse conditions than detailers.

Any time I am not in my truck, I have a hat on my head and Oakleys on my eyes.

I've got a pretty strong "trucker's tan", but the only thing that usually nails my face is windburn. I only use sunblock when I'm on vacation... just too messy and impractical in the dusty, dirty conditions that I work in, not to mention the oily residue on the hands causes big problems with some of the equipment like polycarbonate camera domes and keyboards.

Ya... I fully expect to end up having things removed, so I do get regularly checked.

I always have a bottle of sunscreen in my truck. Put it in the map pocket of my truck.

As far as it getting in your eyes. I always wear a hat and it keeps most of the sun off my face. I'll just wipe my eyes w/ a wet towel and that helps.

Oh yeah, I find it very helpful to carry several extra shirts in your vehicle because you will sweat your a$$ off all day long. You don't want to walk into an office or into a customer's home with a shirt that is dripping with sweat.....and make sure you have plenty to drink! I freeze bottles of water and keep them in my car along with a cooler full of caffeine free Diet Coke.
