How do you guys without trailers carry your things around??

So most customers agree with the idea that your using their water and electricity? What would you all say as far as ratio wise (1:1=50% electric 50%generator?)

I have on my website that I use the wet/dry vac for about 15 min, the 1400PSI PW for 15 min, and the PC for at least 4 hours depending. This is the amount of time the machine is runnning, not necessarily the time it's plugged in.

Edit: And for water I just guessed at no more than 25 gallons would be used per wash. I also stressed that I would try to use rinseless washes.

Heh. I usually carry 2 buckets, 2 bags, 1 Extension Cord wheel, vacuum, a plastic bin, and some other pieces. Not sure how I could even fit a steamer/extractor in the future!

What extractor are you using? Any chance of pictures where all the equipment is laid out? I need to find a way to compact everything!

Extractor is a durrmaid mini. What do you mean pics of everything laid out? You mean pics of everything outside the car?

Hehe Yes. Considering I want a steamer/extractor in the future I have no clue how I can fit it all. Thoughts on the Durrmaid Mini?

Hey Penguin thanks for the pics! Are all your MF's folded the same way in that bin? I fold mine in fours and its hard to find something long enough to put them all in. i find they are easier to get to if they are folded in 4's

And those are some huge pads, what size are those?

Jim

The orange 16x16 towells are simply folded in half. the blue Cobra microfiber towels (Not sure what size they are) are folded into 3rds, as are are the white Wal*Mart WW M/F's. I bought the tubs at Target, it was pretty much the perfect size for them!

The pads are the Lake Country CCS pads (Pretty sure thats them...) that came with the Pinnicle XMT polishing kit from AutoGeek.... they 'aint THAT big....

Thanks speeding penguin, time to hit up target saturday and rearrange my stuff. i have waaay too many of those small bins, i want to condense everything down to maybe 3 or 4 bins.

Ive been working out of a sedan the last 2 years (part time). I use a little 3-drawer cart that has wheels on it and in the drawers I have all my towels in one drawer, Pc w/pads on the bottom, and sponges/applicators/small brushes/clay in the top drawer. I really like it, it takes up a little space I have to lay it in my trunk sideways but take it out and roll it around when I do washes or details. For my bottles/waxes sprays I use a milk carton. And the polishes stay in a tool bag with the rotary. 90% of my clients provide water/electric, for the few that dont I carry around 2x 5gal water cubes that are good for 2-3 ONR washes if the cars not that dirty.

There is no way I could ever detail out of the trunk of a car full time. When I go off-site I have my entire car filled to the tope with equipment and supplies. Air Compressor / Powerwasher / Leaf Blower / Halogens / Bins of Towels / Buckets / Bottles / Vacuum.

I'd have a tiny enclosed trailer that could easily unhook and be able to be rolled around.

List

Bin with all chemicals.

5 Gal Bucket that carries my towels and pads. (In transit)

2 Extension Cords

PC and Makita are behind the bucked as well as an electric pressure washer

You can see the blower up front.

Halogens are up top and the only thing technically in the car. Stand is under the blower laying down.

I know I am forgetting something but that's pretty much it.

EDIT: I do not offer interior cleaning services. So no vacuum or extractor.
