How do you guys control DUST when polishing to getting everywhere

I recently added another shop air filtration unit --- similar to the one I have in the partitioned room that holds my bench power tools. It's mounted high but has a wireless remote for control and speed.

I couldn't stand polishing dust getting into areas /corners/crevices/things...where I cannot easily sweep or vacumn.

I wish I had a ~isolate partition~ so I could just take the compressor gun and just BLOW away

just SIP..

I have not jumped on the M105/205 bandwagon yet. Can't wrap the time to learn a new non-diminishing way of process..

Like cars, your workplace requires detailing too. After every detail I wipe down all my shelves and power wash the floor. Otherwise you track dust into your house.

I had my first dustless polishing experience when I first tried the Optimum line. I don't see going back to my old practices.

I found recently that changing pad more often prevents dusting....Now on a hood for example I will go through three pads just to help prevent dusting ESP with SIP it helps to change pads alot. From my experience anyway. :D

Yikes, every detail

I mean...I keep the shop pretty clean, but, uhm...that'd kill me.

I don't have much of a dust problem as long as I don't use excessive product. I've ended up turning my air filters/etc. *off* when doing correction so the dust doesn't get spread around by the air currents. Then I just clean up the floor around the car getting corrected. Seems to work OK with the stuff I'm using these days.

But yeah, I do clean up when necessary.

I did the M3 with other vehicles in the shop, and they didn't get a significant amount of dust on them, even though I was using rocks-in-a-bottle stuff and lots of follow-ups. Did the YukonXLD with other stuff in the shop too, and I got away with that also. Not saying that was *smart* though...

Keep in mind that pretty much every car I do gets a multi-step correction full detail, which equates to tons of dust. I also spur my pads after every panel. That and my whole family having chemical allergies up the ying-yang makes it an almost priority. Sometimes the garage gets cleaned out while I final prep wash the car for LSP. Nothing I hate more than a customer picking up their perfectly clean vehicle in a dirty, dusty shop. :har:
