How do you guys clean your wheels between washes?

I wash with ONR and some time I use 50/50 APC.

Then I use KSG and seal that sucker up.. Brake dust doesnt build up much.

I don't even bother cleaning my wheels between washes. The brake dust on BMW accumulates so quickly that after one trip to the store my towel would be coated in brake dust. I leave it for the next wash when I can hose it down.

I use a Cali mini duster that I have dedicated for that use. Otherwise a MF dipped in ONR then wring it out and wipe off the dust. Repeat for each wheel.

Using Wheel Wax also makes the wheels easier to clean. My local Discount Tire is selling it for $12 a container, cheaper than most online stores.

I'm just glad it takes me around 5 min per wheel when I do a quick wipe down.

I do notice a lot of BMW owners here in town that their front wheels are black where most of the brake dust settles. I just don't let it get that way, but when I do it looks like I got gunmetal rims. LOL!

i had ebc green pads on my first car - alfa 156, because i hated the brake dust

and it was the worst thing i did, i just did not want to stop, especially repeated stops at high speeds

my 350Z had factory brembos and the brake dust wasnt too bad. Now on the M3 they are a bit worse, but im also using wheelwax which suprisingly works quite well

i use DP 4in1 to clean the wheels between washes. I really go to town trigger spraying them first with my water/DP 4in1 mixture to prevent scratching the clear finish

I had the same problem until I went the dustless route. I recommend talking to Dave at http://www.zeckhausen.com/bmw_products.htm. He is a super nice guy and now carries dustless brake pads for my front big brake kit. I will never go back to standard brake pads, it makes a huge difference not only on the wheels but keeping the car itself clean.

You know, I down shift as well too!! Haha.. that helps my brakes life. That's why I ended up driving 36k for my first brake job.

I heard wheelwax is not all that great? I'll check it out now!

That's true, but I downshift a little, but I never had a problem doing so. I just brake lightly going into a stop.

Exactly, I did downshift to save the brakes but I dont anymore. I realize that I can replace the brakes in under an hours on my Jeep where I would need to hire out the tranny work, plus it cost ALOT more. :)
