How do you find a good detail shop?

I'm in Northern New Jersey in Morris County. I'm looking for a good reputable detail shop. There's a few car wash type places in my area that do detailing. There's also a couple of detail shops that work with auto dealerships and/or are owned by them. So, how does one find a good detail place? And once I do find one what can I expect to pay for a good engine detail?

I think that its a hit and miss finding a good detailer. I go to the shops and look at what the condition of the shop looks like, clean, organized looking and then ask to see a finished car.
Most that are in my area Northern CA are bucket shops. Its really a trail so hit the road and good luck

I got a price quote from a local shop for an engine detail their price is a little under $50. How much do engine details usually run for?

I'm in lower Sussex County and detail out of my home (weather permitting) and a shop in West Orange. If you're interested you can pm me here and I'll send my phone number and email. I'll be glad to answer any questions whether or not you use my services.
