How do you deal with pollen

I was just curious as to how everyone deals with pollen season.

Here is Georgia, pollen season is goin strong.

I have decided to try to fight back but my black truck sits outside 24/7 and it may be a losing battle.

Here is what I am doing:

(This is assuing my truck is clean)

In the mornings, I rinse, then use a QD and dry the truck prior to going to work. This gets rid of the dew and any pollen build up.

Once I get to work, if the pollen buld up is bad, I will do another wipe down with a QD.

When leaving work, once again I wipe down

and then once more when I get home.

While this does not keep the pollen off, it does help in that my truck is not covered with buildup or streaks from the morning dew and it keeps it the cleanest vehicle at work.

Now the downside is that I am going through my QD like there is no tomorrow and I have to wash my towels quite frequently.

Anybody else doing anything to fight the pollen?

Hey russell336, I live near Columbus, GA. Smiths actually. The pollen is horrible around here right now. I've been QDing every day, but all it really does is keep the pollen to a respectible level, haha. I'm just waiting for it to go away so I can break out the PC. I tried to do some polishing about a week ago, under a carport, but I couldn't even finish a 1/3 of a panel before the rest of it had a layer of pollen on it.

Short of full blown washing using a hose, QEW ought to tackle conditions where QDing just won't cut it.

There really is no quick & easy way to deal w/Pollen other than to wait until the next wash. QEW is the other way to do it rather quickly. But a quick 30 min is all that is required for a good clean wash.

Other than that, even garage kept cars will suffer the pollen's wrath once it's taken outside. Having lived in MD where there's a pollen count announced every morning on the News radio stations, I've learned to accept that it is a fact of living with nature here!

I guess that means more obsessing over washing your car! ;)
