how do YOU clean/restore headlights?

That's cool, hope you didn't think I was trying to knock the wet sanding or downplay it, was just saying that all I had available to me was a PC, 4" yellow, and some Power Gloss...I'll have to check further into the wet sanding stuff...
 
Wetsanded with 800 then 1200.Then polished with a orange light cut pad with PB SSR 2.5

Is there a certain amount of plastic that one isn't supposed to remove? Cause mine were really cloudy so I used 1500 grit, but some areas still remain cloiudy when the heasdlights are on. I'm just concerned about going "too far" with sanding/polishing them
