How do you care for wool pads?

I have a couple foamed wool pads that I have no idea how to care for. I'll be getting the Edge 6" pads soon, too, and would really like to hear how you guys care for your wool pads.

I've been using Snappy Pad pad cleaner for all my foam pads. I really like the stuff. I just used it to clean my foamed wool pads. It got out all the stuff, but now my pads look pretty sad. Do I just let them air dry and then spur them? I have them sitting face down on a clean terry towel right now (the pads are soaking wet).

Sorry if this subject has been discussed before, but I didn't have much luck trying to find it.

TIA!

With wool, I have found that water is not their friend. I find that spurring them and spinning them works best. I have a few edge wool and I dont let water touch them, I just keep them product specific and spur them regularly. HTH.

Good advice. Keep in mind that most pad primers are water based which I don't think hurts them, but I would never wash them.

Heh, superbee, I found that out probably the same way you did, with a wet mop of a pad that looked super depressed/sad. Ahhaha, experience is the best teacher.

P.S. Take your wet pad and spin it slowly, and kind of fluff it with your hand, then take that towel and dab. Repeat. I would do it sooner than later as the more time that goes by the stiffer the wool will get. I let mine air dry when i first did that and it was never the same. Now it has been assigned to grunge work. GL.
