How do my choices sound?

Here's what I've picked out for my 2001 black Trans Am. Let me know if I need to change anything.

Zip Wax Car Wash

Meguire's Clay

Menzerna Intensive Polish

Menzerna Final Polish II

Klasse AIO

S100 Wax

Menzerna and Klasse applied via PC Buffer and pads. S100 applied via a Microfiber pad by hand. Sound good? Do I need something else? If this will work, can anyone help me with the process? What speed for each polish, etc? Thanks!

TA4U2NV- Welcome to Autopia! I had three black TAs of my own, but that was back when they had single stage paint. Tought to keep them marring free, huh?

I'd use a different wash. I used the Zip Wash for a while but it lacked sufficient lubricity and I ended up marring the finish all the time. FWIW, I use Griot's Car Wash these days, but Meg's #62 is fine too. Neither of these is hard on wax.

Given that you have a black car, I'd *absolutely* get a foamgun for washing. NO way I could wash without marring without one of those things and goodness knows I've tried.

Can't really help with the polishing as I have very limited experience with Menzerna, but there are plenty of people here who really *know* that stuff. If you want to search there's even (IIRC) a good write up about using it, complete with pictures. But I'm not sure how to do a decent search, just looking on "Menzerna" would bring up a few zillion posts.

I agree with Accumulator on the Zip Wash. I bought a gallon a couple years ago, and still have some left. It leaves waterspots, and barely has any lubricity at all. I pretty much use it for wheel and fender well duty now.

There are lots of better washes you can find locally. Aside from the one Acc. recommended, NXT wash is a good one too.
