How do I tell if Products are Acid-Based

Besides having to open them and smelling the chemicals, is there any other way. Some products I currently have does not mention so, or does someone know of an acronym or sign purposely hidden on the labels?

Are you talking about wheel cleaners? In recent years it seems like labeling requirements have been relaxed and they don't seem to have to tell you what's in products as long as they tell you not to drink them, etc.

You could buy some of those pH test strips and spray a little cleaner on them. They turn a different color according to the pH level of the liquid. Then there's a color chart on the container which tells you the pH level.

I'm not sure where you buy them though. Maybe try the grocery store, a drug store, or maybe a pool supply store.

I had a breeze blow some Hot Rims spray on my hand and it burned like hell. It reminded me of that scene from "Fight Club."

Spray it on aome polished aluminum wheels. LOL

If it don't say on the lable just get some of those test strips and find out for yourself.
