How do I get leather to look like new?

On brand new cars with leather interiors I noticed that the leather sheen is completely and totally flat. IOW there's absolutely zero reflectance. Even after a short period of time, leather seems to get "shiny" Is there a product or process that can restore that look to otherwise good condition leather?

The most important thing you can do to keep leather looking new is to vacuum and clean it on a regular basis (I.E. every two weeks). The shine you are referring to comes from dirt and soiling, which is acidic, being ground into the leather. Once this occurs it becomes very difficult to restore. Try a gentle cleanser and a MF towel to clean leather.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I really should post pics of my car. The leather is 5 years old but has been meticulously maintained. It is very clean. I just want to remove the sheen to get that "new" Look.

Some leather cleaners and conditioners leave leather looking shiny too...I put 3M conditioner on my leather seats every few weeks and it leaves a slight gloss on the leather.

I use Griot's Interior Cleaner (the wipes), and it cleans it really well, almost as squeeky clean as when I bought my runner seven and a half years ago.
