How do I get harborfreight buffer to fit PC pads?>

Since I may only use this thing one or twice a year, I really don't want to buy all new pads and a backing pad, would like to take the backing pad and pads from my PC and fit them on the harborfreight buffer...



Anyone know if I can do this, and is this ok and safe to use? Or will I have to get specifice pads and backing plate no matter what I do?

You can interchange the pads but a new backing plate is a definate, the PC accepts male threading and the rotary accepts female, no way around that one. Just be sure to order the same size backing plate for the rotary as you have for the PC. BTW, I like the Meguiars backing plates for rotary use.

Sweet! You know a good place to order a backing plate. Its been a while since looking into new machines.
