How cold is too cold to detal??

45 is probably OK. I've done it in colder. The worry isn't for the product. The worry is for the detailer. :)



If you can wait till it breaks 50 then it would probably be better. I know its hard to wait but the best results are worth it. :xyxthumbs
 
If you have time try some #7 then wax.



I find that the #7 elaves a great shine, but if tis too cold the oils may be screwy,



So if #7 smears, go from #9-wax.
 
depends what wax, Klasse and Zaino seem to still do well in cold temperatures (mid to late 40ish) but some have waxed a bit above freezing.



as for the #9, I would think by performance, if it seems to be "working" when you use it, then it should be fine too. It helps to have a garage so that you car paint can stay above freezing

I keep a box of rubber gloves in my tool box for working on cars. I find that wearing them while it's cold helps keep my hands worm and they're easy to work with even if you get a little water inside. they are covered with powder, though, so you need to put them on and wash then really well first. it puts the feeling back in your hands when you're out there washing and drying the car. I find that I don't really need them once the car is dry and I start polishing/waxing.
 
I never tried the #7 by PC yet, I will soon though.



I used it by hand. I would work in the product into the paint ins tragith motions, then after I did a few passes to that panel I would buff it off with no haze time. a glaze does not need to haze, well at least Meguiars #7

when you cant feel your fingers anymore it is too cold to detail.

I have detailed it all temp's but you will pay for it later.
 
I've detailed cars when it is in the mid 30's and windy. Miserable for me, but I haven't had any problems with waxing, other than it takes #26 a little longer to haze for easy removal.
