how close is close enough?

buy pads with a precut hole or pads with a hole in the velcro such as the Megs, or CMA CCS pads. You can cut the center out with a penknife as well.

i was thinking of just taking my old LC VC 6.5" with a hole in the middle, since its the exact same size as the CCS pads without a hole. put it back to back so its flat and just take a marker and mark the back of the CCS pad using the hole in the VC pad as a guide.

then make the hole.

what could i use to cut the center with though?

as soon as i find something to make the hole ill try it, any ideas and where i can get it?

It's very important to get it centred. With pads with a hole in them, I aim it up perfectly each time but 4 inch CCS with no hole need to be looked at very closely. It usually takes me three attempts or less to get it spot on.

In some cases, without a centreing tool you cant quite get the bigger ones with no hole spot on.

Your pad in that video is just a few percent off, it would be ok to use like that but it is best to get it 100%.

I received one of those little tools in my big AG order earlier this year but can't find it now.

ok heres a link to a how to i tried on making a template for centering the pad perfectly.

let me know what you think or how it can be improved on.

this i just my cheap cost effective way instead of buying the edge 2k system.
