How can I cut down on my 6 hour polish sessions?

Seems like DACP is the cloest I can get to a straight answer.

and smoker's not kidding, the purple cutting pad does do good work. I like to run DACP at speed 6, takes maybe 5 minutes per pannel.

I followed up with a meg's yellow polish pad, speed 4-5 with some SF (meg's swirl free) to get the final polish step covered, again about 5 minutes per pannel.

with those two steps I can do my blazer (polishing) in about 1.5 - 2 hours. Figure in an hour to clay, thats 3 hours for prep.

as far as finishing I do zaino 3x Z5 with ZFX, then followed up with a coat of S100 and then some Mother's Showtime (gotta order quikshine!)

I'd love to take the time to try a full prep followed with:

3x Z5 with ZFX

3x Z5/Z2 mixed 50/50 with ZFX

3x Z2

1x vanilla moose glaze

2x S100

QuikShine

I think that would really pop.... :xyxthumbs

So far, I have only used a yellow pad with DACP. Does the maroon cutting pad make it go significant faster then? It takes me a while to work through the heavier scratches and oxidation.

joed: Try Diamond cut or some Power Prep/light cut (Heat induced leveler) made by Topoftheline in Arkansas. There address is http://www.topoftheline.com

I believe the two products by topoftheline are 1500 grit equivalent sand paper which is light on the scale. May take two or 3 passes with a cyclo or pC and 1 or 2 passess with a rotary to remove ALL swirls with just the one product. It is good stuff but i would still follow up another step like Vanilla Moose Glaze.

Try toppping it with a wax or a sealer would look nice.
