Household Polishing Applications

I polished my toaster and faucets with Mothers mag/aluminum polish. I washed them afterward because I don't want any metal polish residue on my food.
 
Collinite 476S says on the can: "Excellent for use on fine furniture, wood paneling, etc. Provides excellent prtection for fiberglass, wood and metal boats."

I did my stove top and burner rings with AIO/SG when I got it last spring .. Both have stood up to the heat well plus the abuse.
 
What sort of product would you use on granite counter tops. The ones we have are shiny and I've notices some spider web swirls. It would be nice to get rid of those.
 
A couple of years ago an overzealous employee used the scouring side of the sponge applicator and completey marred the laminate countertops at my veterinary hospital. Over time these defects have pretty much disappeared which makes me think it might be possible to polish laminate countertops. I think I may give it a try.
