Hosed - What can my friend do now? (long)

Well, that's enough for me not to switch to Progressive. Like Churchhill said," If you're not a liberal by twenty, you don't have a heart - if you're not a conservative by thirty - you don't have a brain."

What motivation does a shop have to listen to an insurance agent? Who is he to them? Unless he's connected to the Mob? :grinno: :bat

Maybe I read wrong or jump the gun when I wrote my first post that he took it to whatever shop he wanted. On another hand insurance companys can ruin a business If a customer is unhappy with a repair that wasn't done correct we had agents come back Yes now I understand you was speaking of DRP's when you say thats the only time you can step in.

If Progressive Insurance did referrals for detaliing and sent business your way, would you turn it down based on politics?

Even if their rates were wayyyy cheaper than the next company's quote and their customer service was great, I wouldn't care what they did with their profits.

Yes sir I would - just like I support any company that gets hassled by the ACLU, or boycotted by special interest groups I despise.

As long as they didn't get any money out of it, yes. I would never buy their insurance though, they aren't just slightly to the left, but Michael Moore left. I don't want a dime of my money helping support groups like that.
