Hose nozzle

I've been looking for a hose nozzle that has a rubber end and is operated by pressing laterally on the end. It's like the nozzle on the right in the included picture. Griot's used to sell these, but no longer sells that type. Does anyone know where I can buy one?

Neat nozzle, so you just press on the end of it, way cool dude !!!



Walmart sells the one on the left, but other than that i am just adding to my post count :)
 
I think Griots wants like $70 for the one on the left.



Really, I've looked all over for that nozzle. I knew a guy that had one like that 15 years ago. Then found out last month that my brother-in-law has one he bought from Griots.



Looks like I missed out again.

It may be slightly different, but the one at Walmart is 15 bucks i think.

Seems kind of expensive. You can get that fireman's nozzle at Wal-mart for less then 20. I think Sears has a version for 30
 
Both the Sears and Ultimate Nozzle retail for about $20. As for that cone shaped nozzle, you might need to scour garden supply sites and ones like Sporty's and Improvements Catalog.
 
The one on the left is made by Bonaire(sp). Its sold in various colors at Home Depot for 20 bucks. Ive had mine for 2 years and its just like the day I bought it. Its the best nozzle Ive ever had. You can drive over in a truck and not hurt it.



The one on the right is available at some auto parts supply houses and was used in all gas stations, before self service took over. Its designed to be used to flush radiators and top off batteries, etc. You stick in the opening and cock to the side slightly, which bends it open automatically. They are usually a low pressure, low volume nozzle and not very good for spray use.
 
No luck in the catalogs Bill D. mentioned, but they do have some interesting stuff.



In all fairness to Griot's the fireman's nozzle they sell is anodized aluminum and stainless steel. Probably very good.
 
The Ultimate Nozzle is the Bonaire variety sold at Home Depot. Indeed, it truly is a quality product.

Thanks, NozeBleedSpeed, Maybe i was searching for the wrong thing.



I know they are low volume, low pressure nozzles. I would like on to use for the final rinse. A nice steady flow of water that flows in sheets off the car. Leaves the car almost dry.

Bill D., I have just taken the sprayer off the end of the hose and let the water flow. But getting the brass hose end so close to the car is not ideal, and this will turn off the water flow when you put it down.
 
I never put it close to the paint. I hold it safely over the car with great results. The quick disconnect on the ned of my cut off switch also has a rubber ring so that may provide extra safety.
 
The rubber cone/spring nozzles are also available from Sporty's (sorry, no link handy). One of mine quit working right but the other is still going strong after many years. But it doesn't get used all that much either.



I dunno about the squeeze-trigger for the Bon Aire; I'm gonna stick to my shutoff. I just drop the hose/nozzle on the ground, as opposed to gently setting it down :o and I don't want it to land on the trigger and spray water all over the shop (and the other cars in it). And when I want it *open* I don't want to have to hold anything in a certain position (yeah, I see the hold-open latch). But that's just me and my situation and I'm used to flipping the shutoff open/closed and maybe I'm just stuck in my ways :nixweiss :D
 
Yikes, I wouldn't want those nozzles getting near my vehicles :scared



Maybe they don't have the rubber ones any more after all.
