Not sure this is a horror story as it is an anger story...I was
in horror when I saw it, and then I became angry shortly thereafter.
About a week ago, I started to get my car ready for winter.
I did the serious washdown, did a polish, and started my
layers of sealant- on the panels, the windshield, and side
glass. Now the car's looking good, and I am ready to pimp
it for the rest of the week (it also serves as my business
card so to speak) :xyxthumbs
First day back to work at my other job, I get in the car,
and notice a smear on my windshield. Missed a spot I figured.
But with more thorough looking over that night, I saw it was
a footprint of some animal, that appeared to be sliding down
the glass. I began to see other prints on the glass as well.
No biggie, I wiped the prints off and drive on. The next day,
I took a look at my hood and saw the same kind of marks- only
this time, they were longer. and did not come off with a wipe of
the towel during today's wash. Looks like the thing was
scrambling hard to get some traction as it was climbing to the
roof of the car, and dug it's clwas int the paint and the glass.
I don't know if this is a testament to the "slickness"
of the product I used (which oddly did not feel that slick to me).
But I am quite certain that if this stuff was not on the
car, the animal whatever it was would not have scratched
up my paint, because it would have not slid down the car.
I don't have the time to correct the problem so I plan to leave
the scratches be, and deal with it later on, if I'm still around.
Right now my biggest fear is that the ******* is going to come
back, try again, and scratch up more of my paint.:grrr
