hopefully my final high end Wax question(s)

For some reason I was thinking I heard Zymol was made in Switzerland and you had to ship you containers back to there for refills. Do you ship just the tub back to Zymol or the tub in the glass encasement back?

SB, do you remember what it would have cost you without the discount?

You ship the crystal cube back to them for refills. I would imagine it would be about 50 bucks or so.

Wow, if you are shipping it for 20 you must know someone who works for FedEx or work for a company that does alot of FedEx shipping and allows customers to ship under their shipping code.

My company has a reciprocating discount with FedEx.

You don't have to ship it to Switzerland. :)

Concorso is a good wax, I think it looks a lot like Vintage. It does clean up well, but not as good as vintage (imo). It's the one other boutique wax I've tried that I'd buy again.

Even though you have Vintage? Or do you mean if you didn't have vintage, you would get Concourso?

Yep. I need something to use on Customer cars. :) Right now the waxes I use regularly are #16, Souveran, and Concorso. I will probably skip Souveran when it runs out and grab some Victoria Wax, I find it looks similar and has slightly better durability. For me, over $100 but under $1000, Concorso is my favorite.

Picus, besides our easily-cleaned Vintage, what other nubas do you find release dirt easily? I kinda have some thoughts on a few, but wanted to hear what you think.

Concorso is awesome at it, which is why I like it. In fact, it's almost as good as Vintage. Concours is ok but not great. Glasur was eh, Destiny is pretty decent. Mystery is good too, but not as good as Concorso (oddly?). The only ones I am constantly impressed with below $100 are 476S and #16. #16 is, imo, the best wax for "ease of cleaning" under Concorso. The rest of the under $100 stuff (Souveran, Vic Wax, Worlds Best, CMW, #26, P21S, 50/50, etc..) were all pretty much the same... similar to sealants.

If I didn't have Vintage I would use Concorso on my car, if that means anything.

Excellent, Picus, thanks! I was crossing my fingers that you would mention 476S. I was hoping that the results I had with it weren't a fluke. I haven't used #16 in years, but I think I'll go pick some up.

Yeah...Aren't you talking about eshine?

Picus, when using the #16, I'm assuming you're using the paste, correct?

Good luck, iirc you can't get it in the US. :(

Weird, I know someone in Canada who can get it!

Hmmm.. It definitely wasn't #16 I was using years ago, then, because the stuff I was using was a liquid. This was like in the late '80s, and it was a *very* yellow liquid. It was also one of the runniest car waxes I've ever used. Seemed like it said something like Meguairs Yellow Bees Wax #16. Obviously I have at least the number wrong on it. It was very good wax: it cleaned up well, had a great look to it, but the durability sucked.

If it's a yellow Meguiar's wax it must be #26. It comes in liquid and paste. I really like the look of it but never let any wax go too long so I can't speak about durability.
