whats the best way to clean the black insulation pad on the inner hood on most vehicles?,especially G.M. vehicles.

VERY. It will probably hold 20 gallons of water. lol, jk



Ive yet to find a good way to clean mine. I may try taking it out someday and cleaning it. Its just hard to clean it while its on the hood.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one bumfuzzled on this subject

I only use a damp cloth and try to rub any dust that might be on it.

Most important of all DO NOT DRESS this material. It is fire retardant and a good safe guard for a minor underhood fire when driving.



If it is extremely soiled just purchase a new one. They are not very expensive.
