I detailed my car with Zaino. I used the SSR2.5 with the orange lakewood pad before I put Zaino on the car.

Are you from Kennesaw GA? We may be having an Atlanta Autopian meet soon....

It looks very good, but it would be nice to have some larger, closer pics...

If there is one planned, I'd like to go and learn from more experience guys. I just got my PC pads in today and got my PC about a week or so ago.

That is a big jump going from 2.5 to Z. Personally, I would have used SSR1 or Menzerna FPafter the 2.5, then the Z.

Here is my reasoning. 2.5 can be considered a "medium" or even "medium-harsh" polish in terms of aggressiveness and unless totally broken down, there is a possibility of some micro-marring remaining - not the scratches you were removing, but super fine scratches from the polish itself. A final-polish step using a finishing pad (LC gray, for example) will make sure the paint is marring-free and BURNISH the paint to its highest possible shine BEFORE applying the Z. Just my method of work, so please don't take offence.

The car does look remarkable, never the less. Good job!

If you worked 2.5 well enough you might not need to step down. You can polish a step down on half the hood and then compare both sides. If you see no difference, then you might as well just seal and finish up.

honest opinion? :woot: very nice looking stang. got any more pictures? and which Zaino (Z2, Z5?) did you use and how many coats?

Honestly...

Car looks great. I love the color combo...I'm a red/black man myself.

I would just focus on pics with a bit more lighting and from some different/closer angles.

True, but Ford has some pretty hard paint. I can get pretty aggressive with it and not have any problems with marring. I still would probably use something after it though but in this case, I can't really argue with the results....

...the paint on that Mustang is simply stunning! :woot:

Thanks for the kind words and the input...I appreciate it. Thanks Mike for the larger pic. I am learning how to shrink my shots. Here is a close up on the hood. Oh by the way, count me in for an Autopian meet!
