Honda Customer Service.....

Sorry to hear about your issues bro. I had the first '06 Si in MN and had zero issues with it over the 18 months of ownership. Squeaks and rattles are to be expected IMO, especially in the colder states. But the visor issues, 3rd gear issues, paint issues, and the problem with your clutch are BS.

That being said every car manufacture is going to have a few bad apples. It just sucks they are treating you they way they are. :(

I have some updates, good and bad.

The bad news:

My visor is now completely destroyed, it cracked from the back and the hinges are sticking out. I have it up right now but if I move it I don’t think I will be able to get it back.

My steering rack has started to make the same squeak that it was originally replaced for. This would make the 3rd steering rack that I have had go bad since December 2008. It is an intermittent squeak when turning slow. I will try to get a video. I don’t even know if it is worth trying to deal with Honda with this issue because I know they are not going to do anything. I went by the dealer today (the one that refused to look at my visors) and they were too busy to look at my car.

The good news:

Stevenson Honda in Wilmington NC agreed to replace my visor for free, no questions asked. They have ordered it and should get it in this week.

I'd seriously consider contacting a lemon law attorney. I believe here in IN, 3 failed attempts is grounds to consider it a lemon.

NC Lemon law sucks:

The North Carolina lemon law requires that the consumer makes 4 repair attempts or has more than 20 days out of service during any 12 month period, within 2 years or 24,000 miles or the express warranty of the vehicle, whichever is greater.
