Honda Black (Argh !!!!)

Really nice work! I have to do my brothers red s2k in a few weeks. It is in really really bad shape, oxidation looking waterspots all over the place as well as bad swirls. That guys headlamps looked crystal clear (he must park inside or cover it), my brothers look like a cracked ice cube.

hey clean dean,

great job, the hood shot looks fabulous. Even caught yourself standing inside your truck.

how was the orange peel ....... if it had any?

Dont know about honda paint but the sun reflection on hood stunned me. You always do an excellent job. Looks superb.

Stand and dressing

Where did you get it? Also what tire shine did you use? Is it water based? THX the tires look like wet black paint!

Pop-Up Canopy

Here ya go:

Pop-Up Canopy

I use the Speed Shelter. Sure it's more $$, but if you want the best, you have to pay.

Clean Dean, Too bad on the Menzerna. Which pad did you use with the FP? Was the finish warm or hot? Did you start with a bit of downward pressure then let up? I find that some pads with Menzerna have different effects. Some polish well and no mico-marring others polish OK, but add more marring. Try the new pads CMA and Dwayne have. Nice foam!

Deanski...

I have to try those pads. I am in the process of glueing back together about 10 Edge pads !!! The adhesive on my pads are coming off daily.

I have had some great results with FP. Just did not work well on this paint.

505...

ONLY on tires and fenderwells !!! NEVER on ANYTHING ELSE !!! Especially NEVER on the interior. I have re-detailed many interiors that have been slopped up with solvent based tire dressing. WHAT A MESS !!!

When using 505 apply to tires after polishing. Seal and wax the car and complete the detail while the dressing sets on the tires. Wipe tires down with an old rag to clean up dressing and reduce chance of overspray.

Those new pads seem to work very well with Menzerna! I've used them with IP, PO85RD, FP and Micro Polish (FPII) with very spectacular results.

I washed a few Meguiars pads and they too lost the velco! Washed them in my pad washing system/bucket which normally works well. Once dried, they came off as I picked them up. So far, no problems with Lake or SM Arnold or Schlegle pads.

BTW, I gave some PO85RD to GSRstilez and he also had spectacular results with his Makita 9227C and lake pads after wetsanding his hood. Damn thing is a mirror!

I think you'll like these new pads! Give them a try and let me know as well.

Deanski
