There were some swirls on the car and i found time to clean it a little bit...

I used

RACEGLAZE CLAY BAR

SONUS SFX-3 on RED SONUS PAD on UDM

Sonus Chrome and glass polish on rims

FK-1000P as LSP

ENJOY

You did a really nice job, the car looks fantastic. It would have been nice to see some better before shots though so we could see the turn around you did. Maybe buy some Halogen Lights if you don't have any?

car looks great , but those wheels...eek!

LOL, my first impression, too.

pampos, isn't this car an Acura TSX? The Honda Accord in the NAmerica is a different car, soft paint, I'm afraid. I've got a bit swirling on mine and I'm to blame. I need to find something very gentle to correct it. Do you like the SONUS product? What sort of shape was the paint in? How old is this car?

Thanks.

Hi mate...It is an Accord 2005 European version, the same as US Acura TSX....iT IS A VERY VERY SOFT PAINT....it wasn't in a bad condition, just a few swirls, but it can be marred extremely easily....Sonus products are great for soft paints as Honda's....It used to be terrible marred when i bought it brand new, because the dealer had the idea to polish it before deliver it to me....It was full of holograms and it wasn't shiny at all...

I have done a full correction on a same car with a POLISHING PAD and SONUS PAINTWORK CLEANER (cutting power 2/10 i think)....That one was too aggressive for my car...So i used the SFX-3 polish/pad compo.....

know i bought a foam gun and it will help a lot to keep it swirl free for longer time....Until i will respray it with a harder CC ;)

OK, thank you for the advice. I'll try the SFX3. I'd like to be able to do a minor clean up similar to what you've have done when the snow is gone:

  • Clay
  • SFX3
  • Collinite LSP

I'm trying to get used to this very soft paint. The other cars are Mercedes and the clear coat is at the opposite end of the spectrum.

Cheers!
