Home Depot grout sponge questions

I bought three last week, and used one on the wife's car this weekend. Seems to work fine. No problems yet..

2 bucket method.

I was just linking back to the various grout sponges I found at HD. I think they were all packaged. I look for the loose ones when I'm over there next time.



I've cut the ones I purchased into small, unique shapes to use on the various wheel patterns I contend with. The sponges I purchased have been super-durable and quite handy.

Yea I just found some at Home Depot single wrapped made in Greece:grinno: previously only found other ones and these are way softer.



Will be using soon with Optimum car wash and ONR .

It's not been polished unless it was done at the dealer and I think that would be obvious.;) It sits outside 24/7 under a tree most of the time as well.

SM, what kind of light is that?
 
Just bought a six pack. Will these things survive in the wash machine or will they get shredded? How about the dryer?

I couldn't tell you how they hold up in a washing machine, but if your sponges aren't rinsing clean, you're probably using it on some heavy grease/tar. And if it gets caked in crud that won't rinse off, the last thing I would do is throw them in a washer because most likely you'll be ruining some clothes from whatever's left behind in the washer after you wash your sponges.
 
To clean a GS:



Water as warm as you can stand it.

Dish detergent



Wet sponge and apply detergent. Work well with hands until all the grime captured is worked free. Rinse well. It's now as good as new.
