Holograms make you sick?

So you guys ever buff a black vehicle for hours.. hummer, auid S4, yukon,bmw??? So you buffed/ polished and even used a swirl remover and hand wax it ? So you think your done and you bring it outside and you see halograms in the direct sun light, now your thinking was my pad dirty, is the clear cote too soft , wtf is going on here? Let me tell you nothin even comes close to that for taking out very very fine halogram marks... not even anything sold by poorboysworld,pinnacle, eagleone, meguars... you name it ive tried it.. anyone else try it yet? its awesome for clean up unlike many others ive tried. Also it doesnt become powdery it always stays wet and oily but do not buff it dry.!

I haven't ever dealt with holograms that your above mentioned products couldn't remove. I've never tried 3000 Ultrafina (is that a polish or sandpaper?) but since the polishes I've been using seem to do the trick without difficulty, I don't know that I necessarily need it.

Never had a problem with holograms in my finish personally once I have fully learned a product (Farecla G3 gave me some bad ones to start with, but on top of them now) - and that goes for even the more coarse compounds such as Farecla G3 and Menzerna Power Gloss.

For the best finishes, I use a good finishing polish, and a finishing pad: either Meguiars #80 or #3 on a W9006 pad, or Menzerna PO85RD Final Finish on a W9006 pad. Super sharp hologram free finish no probs. They key for me to wok the products thoroughly and finish off making a couple of passes at a slow sped like 900rpm, or 600rpm even, to refine the finish. Works a treat.

When I first started I never used my rotary for finishing on darker colored vehicles, I almost always finished off with my PC. For a while now I've switched over to rotary 100%. Sometimes I'll spot a hologram or two on a door pillar but that's about it. Nothing I can't live with

Makita has 1, 2, 3, What speed would the three numbers consist of?

i very rarely turn my makita past 3, wich is roughly 1500 rpm i believe, it has a chart that list dial to speed ratio. i just got a pc last week and 2day got some good experiment time with it on a ford. used my rotory with light compound/polish (from my workplace) and green edge pad at 1500, and followed up with my pc and opt polish to remove minor swirl from the rotory, but i used the pc at a low speed, wasnt past 2.5 in pc speed, turned out swirl free and shiny as holy hell!!

You must not been detailing for long then cause theres more products out there besides 3m perfect it. heh

I would say that technique has alot to do with getting swirl free finish more than the product. You could take the finest polish out there today and if you use the buffer improperly your gonna have hella-swirls.
