Holograms from polishing headlights?

Yesterday I polished my headlights with my pc. The process was wetsand with 2000 grit, OC 4 inch orange pad, and OP with 4 inch pad. It looked pretty good, but I noticed a slight hologram like look after inspecting in certain light at certain angles. I have had this problem before.



Anyone know why or have this problem?
 
Or as mentioned in another thread, you could've distorted the plastic by polishing it (though the PC is usually safe). :hm
