Griot`s makes a noodle style in pad style...
After saying how I thought that style of wash medium (whether pad or mitt) was not something I`d like, I finally decided to try one. I was right, I utterly hate it and am going to stick with mitts/pads that have finer, more numerous strands. To each their own...but that thing won`t even fit into tight areas I need to clean, much less do so with minimal applied pressure.
I thought I was the weird one, why do we all buy mitts then HOLD them???????????????????????????????????????
Easy answers:
-Can`t fill it with wash solution (and have it retain that solution for a while as it seeps out) when wearing it
-Worn like a glove, it`s far too easy to apply excessive pressure; when I hold it I whisk it *so* gently across the panels that such minimal applied pressure would be extremely difficult to duplicate when wearing it. I *need* the minimal contact pressure in order for my dislodge-and-flush approach to work- too much pressure and the dirt gets trapped in the wash medium instead of being flushed away
Why not use a pad instead?
Wash pads, even the ones with a sponge in the center, don`t do the "seeping wash solution" thing as well IME. And duplicating the minimal applied pressure that I can use with a mitt is basically impossible to do with only one hand (other hand is operating foamgun).
When I hold a pad against the panel, it contacts the panel too tightly for the foamgun to flush-and-dislodge the dirt; the dirt ends up stuck to the pad and when that gets moved across the panel under pressure the result is marring.
OK, I guess my foamgun-centric wash method puts me outside the box on this topic, but if I could wash marring-free with some other method (and I spent quite a few decades trying) I would

I have to employ "conventional" wash techniques for certain panels (e.g., underside of hood) and no matter *how* careful I am, those panels don`t stay as nice as the ones that I wash my way.
