Hitachi, can you fix/stabilize the speed?

This s just a quick question that I don't know the answer to, can you fix the speed of this Rotary while you are working? In other words can I set it at say 1200/1000/600/ whatever, and will it stay there until I change it's settings? I am fairly sure you can, but I want to be positive. I have never used a Rotary.

Thanks , Changeling

Change..It has a speed control dial on the body..plus a trigger lock to lock it at the adjusted speed..plus it has a speed control in the trigger...full trigger is your dialed speed...now moving the trigger will vary the speed also...

It does have a nice dial. All in all I am very happy I got my Hitachi and I would buy it again if I had to make up my mind. The only problem I have is the high 11 amp motor and when I have plugged in with my 1500 watt quad halogens it will pop a breaker. I need to change my electrical breaker to a 30 amp. Hitachi has a lot of nuts and more than would ever need on a car let alone a badly beat up boat. You would probably tear your arm out of the socket before you would ever bind this up.

Well guys, that does it, I'm buying my birthday present. I have gone back and forth like a yo yo, but that is just the way I am. Thanks for the quick response.

But first I have to finish doing my tax's, that is tonight and tomorrows little choir but I guess you guys have that all under control, right, LOL.

Now this is definitely a machine for muscular reconstruction/rehabilitation and therefore falls under a full medical reduction on our tax's, right guys, we have to stick together on this, LOL.
