These car were done for the same owner so I figured I'd just group them together in one article. First up is the husbands 2012 ActiveHybrid 7. The owner actually had this car for a couple months before I could fit it into my schedule. He said he had only used touch-less washes but that it had been prepped by the dealer, and apparently it saw a few swirl-o-matic washes prior to delivery as well. It was originally scheduled for a 1-step correction, but upon dropping it of it was clear that it would need much more correction work than that.

Correction was done using multiple passes with M105/Surbuf followed by M205/foam

Next up is the wife's 650i Convertible. They opted for the European delivery on this one so it was some time after I did the 7 Series before that it came in. This one was in a little better shape as the owner asked for it not to be detailed and I got it the very next day after it arrived. However, there were still a few areas where someone had done some aggressive polishing which left behind some moderate/heavy marring. Otherwise a light 1-step polish cleared most everything up.

Before pics

It was hard to capture in the pics but IronX was doing work and there was a fair amount of contamination on the paint.

Spot correction was done with M105/foam/rotary followed by Optimum Hyper Polish/foam/DA

That's allot of BMW's, Chad. Turned out nice! Love the lens! You using a filter outside? Blue looks deep!

Thanks! I did have a CPF on a few of the pics, not all though. Still playing around with it seeing if I like it or not. The 650i has a couple pics with the CPF too, but only on the kit lens as it doesn't fit the new lens. ;)

Very nice result Rasky.

If I may ask, how do you conserve surbuf pads? I mean, I used 3-4 cars and all the glue tearing up and velcro is tearing it up and shrinking when it gets hot and it will be permanent after I wash it, so 3-4 cars I need to dump it.

Any methods on how to conserve these surbuf pads?

Thanks and appreciate your knowledge.

Thanks! Unfortunately I also only get a few cars out of my Surbuf pads before they are tossed. I don't use them that often though and it doesn't bother me too much. :)

Thanks Mark! I told my wife's she deserves a 650i like that and that she will have one some day! She really does work very hard and she does deserve one.....she'll just have to pay for it herself! :D
