I've never used them with a combo, always straight up, although anything that could be added to make it a bit thinner and a bit easier to remove would be nice. The Extreme Cut Leveller is the best one out there. Be ready though - you can completely haze your paint (which was my goal). Just understand that you can then use milder products to creat a spectacular shine.
