High quality leather conditioner needed

leatherique definitely gets my vote, its so much easier to apply (depending on method) than the likes of lexol. also hi temps cleaner/conditioner and conditioner were very pleasing to me i only had 2 ounce samples from the vendor but im sure theyd be glad to send you some free of charge for experimental purposes. they sent me about 30 samples and was pleased with just about every one of them. i love the smell of new leather so many of them are appealing to me but hitemps has the best ive put a nose on.

I did just that...samples on the way. I have tried many many leather products, but never did give hi-temp a chance.

rag let me know when you get it and tell me if thats not some of the best smelling stuff youve put your nose to. i havent tried connolly or sonus or even poorboys stuff but hi temp get my most pleasing smell vote.

Allright, that's it. I can't take it anymore. I'm sending mine back - I bought a gallon of the CG and I tried desperately to ignore the smell, but I could not...the smell is not even remotely pleasant. I'm hoping there is something wrong with my batch.

It just might be your taste or smell I should say. It smells like new leather, which for some is a great smell and others a horrible one. It smells damn near the same as Zaino.

Maybe they get stingy with the scent they add to it when you buy a gallon, cause mine doesn't smell anything like z-10, duragloss, Pinnacle or any of the other leather-like smelling conditioners I currently have on hand; it smells more like some unkown cleaning chemical than anything else.

Maybe Gbackus got some from the same batch, cause he warned that I wouldn't like the smell. You were right George.

But before I bad-mouth CG, I must give them the benefit of the doubt and hope I simply got a bad bottle.

This maybe a dumb comment but maybe you got a gallon of the leather cleaner instead of the conditioner?

If working on the leather of Bentleys and other exotics, I'd be pretty careful about what the product smells like; those cars smell a certain way and the customer might want them to *keep* smelling like that. I sure don't want my Jaguar smelling like "new leather" (as in, a leather store), I want it to smell the way it did when new- like Comnolly leather in a Jaguar (there are other "signature odors" like wool, etc. too).

I *still* haven't gotten around to trying my Leatherique :o
