High-End Caranuba thread.

Just wanted to start a thread on High-End caranuba's to try to get as much data in one place as possible as far as experiences and comparisons vs. other high-end caranuba's.

The basis for this is that I've been using Soveran as my 'nuba of choice for >3 years now. While I found it expensive at the time it's never let me down and I have Zero complaints about it. AND as a weekend warrier it's a nice little up-sell that I can offer to clients.

However, with all of the recent high end caranuba's that have been posted lately the Autopian in me is itching to try something different for the next go around but I simply can't make up my mind and looking for feedback on the following:

Pinnacle Soveran - sticking to what I know and love

Swissvax Saphir

Swissvax Concorso

Swissvax Mystery

DoDo Purple Haze

DoDo Supernatural

P21S 100%

Fuzion

stick with pinnacle souveran and sig series 2 paste waxes!!! i have swissvax and there great but souveran is just as nice . might not last as long but who cars apply it once a month it only takes 15 minutes to wax a car...

Scottwax's testimonials convinced me to buy CMW a while back. I have been EXTREMELY happy with it. I just received my Dodo order today (thanks Daniel). I got a sample of the Supernatural, as well as the Straight 8 sampler. I am curious to compare those to the CMW.

As a long time Zaino user, I ordered and used my first carnuaba. Blackfire Midnight Sun. Used it on my daughters red Focus and my black conversion van and thought it looked excellent. (Actually I tried there "Wet Ice Over Fire" system, which included a base coat of there sealant first)...I really liked the results..Then again, according to some of the big wax gurus from the UK, there opnion after alot of expereince is that if your prep work is spot on, there is very little difference in the appearance of waxes.

Used Chemical Guys Petes 53 today and the result was great, can't review durability or beading yet, but it was extremely easy to apply and remove and looks great.

Also just got my sample pot of supernatural and can not wait to put that on my car.

I use a lot of the Zymol waxes. The Titanium is good, but the Concours is much better, the Vintage is fantastic. Their waxes really GLOW.

I've used Pinn. Sig and Souveran and Liquid Souveran.

I prefer Sig. on metallics and Souv. on solids and darks.

I used Liquid Souveran for the first time yesterday and though it looks nice, it doesn't have the warmth of the paste. If I was in a hurry I'd use it; but I don't think I'll be keeping it.

hey guys, the only decent caranuba ive used is s100. Can anyone tell me how s100 stacks up against some of these waxes that you guys are talking. im just curious as to what the differences might be.

I just started my venture into carnauba waxes. I have used SSII and really like it. Still waiting to try P21s 100% and will be gettin some Souveran soon.

Andy,

For a high-end, my go-to is P21S 100%. It adds an incredibly brilliant shine, and the application couldn't be any more simple.

Here's a good thread where THO001 reviews 100%: http://www.autopia.org/forum/detailing-product-discussion/105233-p21s-100-carnauba-review.html

I used the P21S 100% and while it's everything you described and I found it to be an outstanding product...It didn't look as deep as Souvran does in my opinion on my dark cars. I'm awefully tempted to try the Dodo Purple Haze based on it's description but I read a review that it has sharp reflections like a sealant does....again not what I'm after.

i would like to try pinn sig series on silver, and possibly dodo diamond white or light fantastic. suggestions for the best on silver? (pretty light silver)

I recently got a used pot of zymol ital and other then the fact that it not being as easy to use as any of my other waxes the look is amazing compared to souveran IMHO. I just got my 50/50 in the mail today so might try it out here someday soon.
