My friend there is nothing but glass and barbed wire at the end of that trail :Innocent:
- Wash, polish and wax her car! Nothing will make her accept your new hobby more than seeing that she can benefit from it.
Years ago, my wife and I set up the 25-dollar-rule. It was OK to make purchases under $25 without notifying the spouse (as long as it didn't get out of control)...
After 3 decades of marriage, now I just tell her whenever I buy anything. She usually expects the UPS truck at least twice a week!
i agree, my wife and i had the 50 dollar rule, now its whenever i want something i run it by her first, after 16 yrs seldom does she say no...
Hiding purchases?????????????? Crazy.
Do you guys that have to do that not work???
That's nuts.
I think its a great thread and I also don't believe that anyone who is married has NOT done it-or at least delayed coming clean on at least one occasion.
I was a few years late on my mid life crisis and had been lusting after a BMW R100GS motorcycle, well one day I went to the dealer and signed the paperwork thinking I had at least three weeks to think of a good story.
As luck would have it a week later I walk in and the wife says that there is message on the answering machine, so not thinking anything about it I go in and push the button. After three words I say oh s---t and delete the message, when I turn around the dw is there silently laughing herself silly she says, "you don't chase women, you come straight home from work everyday, you don't gamble and when you drink its at home, I am one of the luckiest girls alive!":w00t:
I could have done it YEARS earlier-wasted alot of time![]()
