Hi

Sure it looks about right. You may want to go a bit slower on the first several passes to start to break down the abrasives.

<strong class='bbc'>totally agree with eric. I have a black porsche too. You used too much material and didn't work it long/hard enough.(Don't feel bad - so did I the first time I tried it. Thanks to this board and continued learning, I tried it again after leaving it on the shelf a long while, using a much more "informed" technique - and got great results. )

I do it on 6, I use heavy pressure for SEVERAL SLOW PASSES, then lighten up and make MANY MORE. By the time I'm donw there is NO wetness, the residue on the car is very thin and dry, the pad picks up as much or more than it puts down. You shouldn't have to have ANY haze left if you do this.

You should use Meguiar's #9 2.0 this way too - it is both easier to use AND (I think) less abrasive, with more fillers - but it is really good stuff. [/b]</blockquote>
Okay, I'm going to follow these directions and then followup with the Pinnacle Paint Cleanser Lotion (boy that's a pain to type out) and see if the hazing is gone before the AIO begins.

If you are going to use AIO, you probably don't need PPCL. AIO should get any hazing out as well as PPCL.

last year the AIO did not reduce the hazing. It was all by hand so the application of SMR might have been flawed. Maybe with the PC, I will now be properly breaking down the SMR and reducing the hazing to a negligible amount. Eitherway, I'm gonna beat this hazing yet - and if I can't then I know its the Acura paint that is keeping me from my goals!

Hi Im Jon and have been detailing before I started to drive. I do some detailing on the side as well. Mostly daily drivers who want their cars cleaned up. I find detailing very relazing and a real stress remover at least until I take the vehicle for a ride and get it durty. :Car smiley:
