Packing Info

I got the 16 oz bottle pictured above. It comes pluged from top of the line which is great becuase the product will only leak if the bottle is cracked.

TOL Description

Extreme Cut Leveler
Scratch Remover: Nothing short of phenomenal. Extreme Cut Paint Leveler can remove up to 800 grit sand paper scratches and acid rain etching (craters). It can even take out the most severe oxidation.

The best part.. Extreme Cut Leveler performs all of these miracles in a single step. There are no ugly swirl marks from this product. It turns a complicated, multiple compounding process into one. Simply Amazing!

Extreme Cut should be applied with a rotary polisher and a foam polishing or cutting pad, or our DuraStrand "foam strips" pad for oxidation removal. This is a serious flaw remover and should be handled with respect. Take your time, keep the polisher at no more than 1,500 rpms, and watch vehicle edges or anywhere the paint is thinner.

Extreme Cut may also be used with a professional orbital polisher, but may take several applications to achieve the same results of a rotary polisher.

When the work has been finished, follow with a light cut product and wax or a one-step polish/wax.

Color/Scent

The creamy white consistnecy of this polish boggles my mind. I cant figure out how an 800 grit sanding mark compound can be soo smooth. The chemical smells is no frills, but its not overly powerful.

How i used it

I started off puting down a 4" thin line of product on a cadi hood and comensed to buff @1500 rpm. The polish wasnt super easy to work with. I got alot of pad chatter with this product alone.

TO fix this problem I added another line, smaller though, next to the compound. When I used the two together I could work it much longer than the compound itself and it still had the serious bight I was after. Product removal was pretty easy, I didnt have to wipe to long to remove the residue.

Thoughts

I have optimum hyper compound arriving tommarow. I will see how I like that compared to this compound. I dont now if I woudl use this alone on an entire car becuase of the pad chatter. I do however love the cut, and love the creamy consistency. Another thing I love about this polish is the lack of dust. It has very very minimal dust, compared to menzerna powergloss which covers the car is dust and gets very caked on the pad. So far I plan on ordering more.

Good review. I'd like to see b&a in the same shot, just to know. Nothing looks great in a garage, you know?

I will make sure to get one next week haha. It is hard to tell from the pic but I can assure you it removed about 90% of scratches and swirls.

Thanks for the review.

What type of pad did you use with this product?
Did you prime the pad with Product or QD?
Did you add more extreme cut or another product to reduce chatter?

I probably could find my answer in your other thread, but this a review of the product.
I also look forward to hearing your comments on the Optimum compounds.

Nope. This is a very abrasive compound so there is some hazing and halograms left. It however finishes better than menzerna powergloss does for me. I always follow this up with a final polish like OCP or FPII with a polishing or finishing pad @1200-1500.

Good product; great review.

This is my powerhouse compound...It can remove just about any removable defect out there.

Great review, Greg! I bet those Automagic polishes are taking up wasted space now. Time to finally get rid of 'em, eh? :D

Haha I knew you would. I'm not in any need of compound right now (or at least for the moment), I just got scored a gallon of Menzerna Intensive polish from my boss (He doesn't like it???), but I thought I'd hassle you on that shipment, haha
