Hi Tech Magna Sponge clay bar replacement????

There hasn't been much agreement on these sponges on this board. Some like, some despise them.

Works fast and effective, but it can marr the paint pretty bad if used incorrectly. I am only using this before correction.

So if a detailer gets a car that is in heavy need of claying and polishing one of the sponges would be ideal? On the other hand if a car was in fine shape, just needed a light claying before a fresh coat of LSP, then regular clay would probably be a better idea?

I use these in my shop every single day. They are great if the paint is being corrected, and saves lots of time, but can't be used if only clay and wax job.

100% agree. they are too rough for just claying and no machining. but they do work good, i have only used 2 of them but they did work good

To much pressure, to little lube and not rinse the sponge clay frequentlÿ. I rinse the sponge under running water after each panel.
