1. How did you wind up at Autopia?

- searching for tips on engine detailing

2. What do you like most about detailing?

- the smile of the customer after he gets blinded by his own car after the treatment

3. What are your favorite products/processes and why?

- 3m products amaze me because they are relatively cheap and easy to use, but still offer amazing results

4. What's your dream car and why?

- because of emotions involved, a bone stock honda nsx would be the one sitting in the garage waiting for a sunny trackday. however, a MB slr seems to be a challenge for exterior detailing so... why not? :p (im the kind of a person that would need a dream arage, not a dream car, so lets not be boring with lists and stop it here)

5. What's the best thing you learned on Autopia?

- tips about wheels and engine/engine bay detailing. didnt thought it was possible to make those parts so damn good looking! made me focus more on evey detail instead only on the polishing like i did till now

6. What are some of your other hobbies and interests?

- airburshing (still using stencils on 90% of my creations)

-restaurations of anything made out of wood (1 hour ago i came back from a restauration of a 130 years old wooden boat, for example)

-car/bike painting (the first one that came to my mind in this moment is a piaggio vespa 125cc dated 1966. i hate the bike but loved the job, althought got payed badly)

-trackdays (used to, with the prelude)

-kickboxing (still learning, trying to get into my first championship the next year)

-guitar playing (rock, metal and national party songs, the ones that are needed for beach parties)

-desing of fine luxury wooden furniture (developing a combination of porsche yellow paint with hidden ice white lights and 1st class oak timber for my own living room these days)...

-im kinda getting myself busy and love to learn just about everything that can be done by myself

7. Do you have any pets? If so, types, names, pics.

- felix, an old grey persian cat and 2 rex dwarf bunnies; bugsy and snowflake

8. Name three secret techniques that you think you should share to fellow Autopians.

- i wish i could. i consider myself a newb comapred to some of the guys in here. all i can give someone as an advice in the detailing world is that its NEVER too much when mentioning how much patience is important. even a pro detailer has to be remembered of that fact once in a while.

9. Where are you from and where do you live now?

- croatia. a small mediteranian country on the south of europe getting ruined by corrupted politicians and a crappy government. it has full 4 seasons:a hella hot summer, then rain season, rain again and a few more months of rain. not very friendly for detailers.

10. What was you first car and what got you interested in keeping cars perfect?

- a '99 honda prelude. pumped it up to 240hp and then flipped twice in the air. ended very badly for the car but hey..im still here! the lines she had... the silver paintjob exalting the game of shadows the body was throwing on the sun... it just needed to be shiny. thats how i started. looking forward to get a pickup truck these days. black, possibly, cause i hate to polish black cars. yes, hate, not love.

11. What motivates you to detail?

- i hate liers, so: money motivates me, of course. im just happy that i can make money with something that amazes me over and over again.

12. Would you ever pay someone else to detail your car?

- not even paul dalton on his best day. i can accept advices from anyone, but i wont let someone else having fun by letting him detail my car. after i detailed my car completely, i just cant wait for it to get dirty to repeat the whole process on a sunny sunday afternoon. i cant immagine someone scr** my girlfriend, and feel the same about seeing someone even touching my car. its a true relationship.

13. Does detailing run in the family at all, or are you the only normal one?

- mom seems to like scratching her car over and over again (which gives me reasons to practice my technique and learn something new everytime she tries to do paralell parking), dad doesnt care at all, all he's bothered with on his car is fuel, tires and oil, while my brother....hes just lazy. so basically, im the only one caring about his car. (well, not anymore after the crash) :cry1:

14. What is your favorite part about detailing?

- friend say claying is my secret fetish. i kinda agree... hehe. ("hey, wanna go out on a beer, or are you busy claying your girlfriend?")

15. If detailing is a hobby for you, would you like to do it full time, or do you feel that it would take the fun out of it?

- like marriage takes out the fun from getting laid, i believe a full time job CAN take the fun out of detailing. "some days you are just not in the mood, but you HAVE TO go to work and detail that car...." sounds bad. but i believe it is so for every job. so, no complaining. im saving money to build a nice looking functional garage that will be used only for full detailing. and i hope that will turn into my full time job instead of working in my dad's carpentry on the painting section.

carpentry: job

detailing: hobby.

id love to make it vice-versa.

i'd say it could be enough. probably you wont read a lot of my posts other than asking for help, but ill be here for sure. i came to learn, im not in the position of giving advices.

now back to read some write-ups.

:wavey

happy detailing, people!
