Just wanted to stop in and say HI. I have been lurking around and learning. Wanted to tell you I have seen some great work you people do.

Hi MarkP, I'm in the Augusta area also, in Evans. Welcome to the forum!
 
welcome to autopia, funny thing is i am looking at some property in augusta, im 28 with a few rugrats any suggestions on areas to key in on?
 
I have only lived here 4 years so I'm no expert but I can tell you that the public school system in Columbia county (Martiez/Evans) is much better than Richmond co. (Augusta). Columbia county is growing fast and has a lot of new neighborhoods. Evans was something like #32 in the "100 Best Places to Live" list last year.
 
I have live in Augusta area for about 15 years. Richmond County for 8 years. Then move to Martinez area in Columbia County for the other 7 years. Columbia County is a much better area to live and better schools. I agree with 06E90 Evans would be the place to look.
 
well looks like my wife chose nashville over augusta. helps me out as i have a solid work connection in mt juliet so i guess im headin to the music city in a month or so.

thank you for the welcome, im aware of the grass not always being greener, but im confident im going to be much happier with my location as soon as i arrive. then again if you lived where i do now youd likely prefer beirut. i did a good job of maintaining clientel in an area that has really no idea what it is we do still even though im constantly explaining what a detail is to all the townfolk. so im looking foward to getting down to the lake w/people who appreciate a job done right. :2thumbs:
