HH Shopping MF towels - post opinions here

There seems to be a great deal of interest on this board and so I thought I'd start a thread for people to post there thoughts.

I for one have not ordered anything yet, and am now skeptical after having an e-mail inquiry go unanswered for 5 days :down

Has anyone actually received products from them yet or receive a reply to an e-mail? Post your experiences here.

Also, it seems yosteve.com, rightlook.com, and neatitems.com are the favorites for MF. Any others to share?

I sent for one order and received it quite fast. Never e-mailed them so I have no opinion about their e-mail response time or if they even respond to e-mails.

RIC, what did you order and what are your thoughts on their products? With all the different MF stuff they have I'd love to hear what people's impressions of them are.

I have posted my opinion previously in the "Product Info" thread below. I would not use the HHS towels on a painted finish. They are Euroshine brand. The $2.25 thick towel is similar to Neatitems but fails the CD scratch test. The $1.75 towels are very thin...hard to describe their texture...other (ripoff) places sell these same towels for as much as $7.50 each.

It's been about a year since I ordered any towels from them. The ones I received were fairly thin 80/20 blend with a Euroshine label on them. I wasn't impressed enough to order more.

I just got my order tonight. Here is what I got:

10 16x16 Thick terry Cloths

10 16x16 Terry Cloths

5 16x16 Suede Cloths

2 18x36 Terry Towels

5 MF Applicator Sponges

All towels are 70/30. Thick towels felt pretty nice and plush. Not as nice as the NeatItems but plusher that the Miracle Towel I received a few weeks ago. Regular towels are kind of thin but seem soft, should be good for glass. Applicator sponges seem nice also. Unfortunatly my car is filthy right now from all the rain we have been having. I can't tell you how well they work yet. Hopefully I will get home with enough time to wash the car tomorrow. I will let you know how they work.

Bad news. I QD'ed with the HHShopping thick sport MF towels today and it seems they have a linting problem. They seemed fine at first, but about half way through the car the began to leave lint everywhere. I washed them once, I may try to wash them a few more times to see if they still lint.

Just broke out my order and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the towels for the money paid.

The 18x36s are about 3/4 the weight of the neatitem large, very plush.

The 16x16s are closer to the suede weight vs. a terry.

Both passed my cd test, if you gauge by that. Like Kev said 70/30 and I did notice during the cd test the 16x16 linting.

My neatitems came as well, you pay for it, but their large towel is very nice.

Will get some pictures up later.

Well, I placed an order back on Dec. 18th and I'm still waiting to receive it.

The only response I have received was an auto reply the same morning, but with no shipping information or tracking number. I realize it is the holiday season, and things may be a little slow, but it would at least be nice to know when my order shipped. I have sent a couple e-mails asking what's going on but received no reply.

For those who have ordered and received from them, how long did you have to wait?

2 e-mails over the past few days w/o reply and no answer when I have tried to call. Perhaps they have just shut down over the holidays, but that would have been nice to know. I think my first order is going to be my last :down

I placed my order with HHS on the 28th. When I called on the 3rd they were just about to ship it. I needed the stuff for the weekend so I upgraded the shipping to Next Day Delivery. I got the package Friday morning!

Here's what I ordered:

3 Bath towels (18" x 36")

10 Plush "sports" towels (15" x 15")

2 Big Mitts

2 Round Small Mitts

2 Round Small Suede Mitts

2 Applicators

All are the products are 70/30. The sports towels are very nice. Five (blue) are Euroshine brand, five (green) are another brand (no name on label). The ES might be a tiny bit more plush. Both did an excellent job buffing out BF polish and protectant. No lint so far.

The bath towls ES brand are nice, not quite as plush as the sports towels but soft. I used all 3 to dry the car, but didn't really need to. 2 would've been fine. Again no lint.

The Mitts are really nice. The big mitt was great for washing the lower panels of the car. The small round was the perfect size for getting to the rims of my wheels. I used the suede for the glass, with very nice results.

I agree with LC on the applicators. They're a great size and do a nice job getting BF on the car.

Conclusion: I'm very happy with the HHS products. The sports towels are plusher and softer than my Nicsand, Viper and Mircrofiber.Org towels. A terrific bargain to boot.:up

Now I need to get some YoSteve and Neat Items to compare!

My HH order finally arrived and I had a chance to use them this weekend. All in all I'd have to say they're okay (but in all honesty I have little to compare them with), but the shedding and lint makes them unusuitble for interior work IMO - even the suede ones were shedding! For exterior work they are fine, as the lint can easily be dusted or blown off, it's not much of an issue.

The large bath towels seem the be the best, I used my 18 x 36 for drying behind an Absorber like product - Water Sprite which is excellent - bought at Detailing Depot.

So my "review" as it were:

Suede MF - nice quality, okay for class and interior wood trim, etc. but I still prefer a regular MF. Not sure there's really any reason for suede MF.

Terry MF - pretty thin, I used it for applying Lexol to my leather, okay but too much shedding (not lint, but shedding). Might be better after a wash or two.

Thick (Sports) MF - Nice and plush, used for buffing and will use for QD later. Shedding and linting a problem with these as well.

Large towel - Best of the lot, I would recommend these. For $6, the 18 x 36 seems a good deal as with all HH stuff for the price. Not that thick or plush, but soft and absorbent, and I like the electric lime green color I got

I also have the applicators, but only used the Viking ones that came with my Klasse/Sonus kit from CMA so I can't comment.

All in all, I don't think you can go wrong for the price, though you do have to order $50 worth to get the good prices. I will definitely be ordering some more after spending a little more time with what I have to see what I like best in the long run. Oh, and kudos to Kev for the tip on the hair thing, it's a hit here too ;)

I think I'll just sit back and allow new individuals to try the newer microfiber towels that are coming out. I've spent more than enough mula on this relentless quest. I still can't find a better value than Neatitems or YoSteve's towels. Laters

I have ordered every product mentioned except the 18 x 36 towel. Mine were ordered a few months ago and I received prompt service. They almost stopped linting after four washings. Yes, a little lint, but for the money, can't be beat. I use the cheaper towels in the kitchen. Great for dishes. Smooth is good for glass, and the MF applicators are fine at $1.00 each; no scratching. Great gift for friends without a MF clue. My wife loves her micro fiber robe, so that ate $30.00 of the order.
