i'm just curious as to what peoples impressions are of zymol products. I just got their catalog in the mail and it seems like from looking at the ingredients that they put in their products that these guys are freaks! That was meant in a good sense mind you. I'm just curious as to how you guys would think zymol compares to klasse or zaino products, one thing i know is that they are really expensive, but is it worth the money?

If you do a quick search on Zymol here, you'll find that about 99.99% of us don't think too highly of it for a number of reasons. Also, those ingredients only tell part of the story, and many have indicated that Zymol might not be listing all of the ingredients that they <em class='bbc'>really[/i] use in their products...

I think you'd be much happier with the results from Klasse, Zaino or a high quality carnauba like Blitz, Collinite or perhaps something from Meguiars (#26, #20, etc).

Take a peek and you'll see what I mean. HTH!

In a word, No. There products do not warrant their grossly inflated prices. You can get products that will last longer and give a better shine for much less money.

Well, I guess I am the .01% that likes Zymol:D . I have had excellent results with it and have not found a better product for producing a deeper shine yet. I have used Klasse and found Zymol to be superior in everything except durability. I have used Zaino and while it produced a great shine, it was not as deep as the Zymol. Zymol can be a pain to use and will not give great results unless applied correctly. The prices are high but I personally find the results to be just as good. The product that comes closest to Zymol that I have seen is Pinnacle. If durability is your main concern, then go with Klasse or Zaino but if you want to use a carnauba, it is very hard to beat Zymol when it is applied correctly. As always, this is just my opinion.

Im right there with ya TC.. i have had excellent results using Zymol.. for a number of years, that was all i ever used, because my father knew of no other manufacturer.. I have used quite a few of their products, such as leather treatment/conditioner/cleaner, polish, paint cleaner, auto bathe, wax, and various others.. their products might be expensive, but they DO in fact last long, and give an incredible shine (talkin about the waxes) i put a coat of Concourse on my Pathy, and it still looks amazing, after about 4 weeks now with just QD'ing in between and a wash every week.. I suggest to try out some of their stuff.. I have no complaints when it comes to Zymol.. Another <span style='color: crimson'><span style='font-size: 14px;'>great German product.

What is a nice mid-priced zymol product, I would love to try them but they only offer one type of green wax in stores and I know thats their bottom line product.

I've also had very good results with zymol. The hd-cleanse is excellent, there wash, and vinyl treatment are also very good. Only used the zymol carbon wax, looks good lasts about 4 weeks which isn't too bad.:bounce

(no flames intended)
Partly right with that quote - they are expensive! :)

When we tested the Zymol products (Carbon, Concours, Titanium & Zurtle), we found they lasted not nearly as long as any of the other waxes, marred much easier, were much harder to apply correctly, and the shine/depth was marginal at best. We do like the HD-Clense - it's a great product.

Also, if you're good at searching the Internet, you'll quickly learn that Zymol isn't really made in Germany anymore...infact, (don't quote me on this, cause I can't verify it) I don't even think they're really a mfg company anymore - it's mostly outsourced and labeled as zymol...again, pure speculation.

We tried to contact Zymol for a media kit for our upcoming magazine and they were extremely defensive, and wouldn't send us any information on their products. Further, they said that the owner has to approve all product placements in publications...yeah, right! "Uh, Chuck, could you approve where we ranked your wax?" Give me a freakin' break.

Sorry, end of rant...

Hey guys, glad to be part of an international community of detailers. I'm looking forward to doing some reading and maybe even posting some comments of my own from my own experiences in this back breaking industry of ours which is car detailing.

I started this car detailing business of mine many moons ago, and the only way you get good at anything is to listen to others who have been through it. Hell, through a love of auto detailing, and because I wanted to start my own business, drive even forced me to learn to build my own website because I just could not afford it. It will be a pleasure eventually discussing some comments with everyone on this forum.
