Hey grout sponge pusher

See if I can answer some of the questions off the top of my head.

They last a long time. 50+ washes easy

You can clean them with dish washing liquid, warm water and a little massaging.

Usually priced at $1.97

The bundled ones are just a bit stiffer than the "loose" ones.

They work fine for traditional wash and ONR style washes.

They release dirt/grit like you wouldn't believe without marring the surface.

They're very gentle.

Spoiled man, do you use the one bucket method for ONR?

Do this sponges, really do not marring the finish or give it swirl marks. Cause I have two dark color cars which have been detail lately and I don't want something to mess up the finish. So do this really work or are you going off price ??? Is there anyway you can show me picture or before and after ???? Just wondering ???

altez, I use single bucket for everything.

Exactly what, besides price and ease of use on multiple cars, is the benefit to using one of these? I don't do many cars so thats not an issue. But my sheepskin mitts cant take the washing machine spinning and fall apart all the time so I am curious.

You can take a look at this post for what is probably the dirtiest van that I see and how well the process works. This van was purchased in January IIRC and still is in no need of polishing.

The sponges are a lot more gentle then any mitt, sometimes too gentle.

I'm an autopia lemming too. Bought two yesterday but they didn't come loose in a bin. The ones I bought were individually wrapped. Said they were from Greece and look just like the one in the picture. $1.97 in the tile aisle.

First wash went great although the van was covered in brake dust from the dealer so the paint is still pretty rough. I may have to clay bar to get that stuff off.

this is all good stuff. I made sure to wash my two picky cars (Black VW Beetle Convt, and Dark Blue Metallic Honda CR-V). no added marks. I use one bucket method. I was polishing :waxing: them afterwords anyways to get my first coat of winter protection on but these grout sponges are clearly are what I will be using

it will not be long till some non-autopia sponsor is reselling these as wash sponges for 4-5 bucks each:bat

I still don't understand how the HD grout sponge differs from all other wash sponges I see in every gas station or car related store. I just might go back to sponges, I quit using them because I thought they made the swirls in my paint, but I have changed my washing technique alot since I used those.

HD must be confused why everyone want their sponges so sudenly :)
